Causse de Volte

Description

A little causse (plateau) at the foot of Mont Lozère! The landscape is a mixture of pasture and forest. Signposts will guide you all along this route. In the description below, the signposted place names and/or directions are given in bold italics between quotation marks: From "Cubières", walk to "Col Bourbon" (GR®68) via : - "Village", - “Pelloufet”, - “Croix de Pelloufet”, - “Valat de la Longogne”. - “Col Bourbon” then direction : - “Coursoules”. At “Coursoules” return to “Cubières” via : - “Valat de la Longogne”, “Croix de Pelloufet”, “Pelloufet”, “Village”. Before you go

• NB: This walk crosses pastures. Do not approach the cattle. Keep your dogs on a leash.
• Make sure your equipment is appropriate for the day’s weather conditions. Remember that the weather changes quickly in the mountains. Take enough water, wear sturdy shoes and put on a hat. Please close any gates and barriers behind you.
